Exploring the Capabilities of 4D CT
From industrial inspections to research and development, 4D CT is assisting organisations to visualise and understand complex processes in both temporal and spatial resolutions.

Not too long ago composite materials such as carbon fibre were reserved for large expensive industries such as aerospace, automotive and naval. As composite materials became cheaper to produce and more readily available they are appearing in a wider range of products.
Design Using a Computed Tomography data set from a CT scanner, a point cloud or mesh can be generated. The point cloud or mesh can then be put into Geomagic Design X (reverse engineering software) and a CAD model can be reverse engineered or surfaced.
Using these techniques, made available by X-Ray inspection machines, we can run more types of inspections and tests, allowing for a more detailed and thorough analysis of parts. The sample can be used after the inspection process and the inspection wont contain any artefacts generated during the destruction of the sample.
